Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna…
Hi,
Yesterday on the eve of Independence Day, i got an opportunity (b’cause the shows are full up-to this weekend) to see the most hyped and awaited movie of the year “KANK”. I had no plans of writing a blog on it, had the movie not provoked me to do so. Well to start with, the movie is high on star-cast and low on content. The role allocated to Rani and SRK in KANK seems illogical all the time. I felt that both of them got whatever they deserved. Both of them are shown under-performers and infected with inferiority complex. Rani seems to be feeling guilty all the time for whatever she has done and looks big time confused on love. It is as if the story is deliberately made to take twists. Most of it feels artificial. The role assigned to Amitabh is pretty vulgar and neither suits his personality nor the movie theme. The only person who has acted well is Abhishek. He is the one who plays the character of “Rishi” and not “Abhishek”. Others seem to act on their own behalf. But some things go in favor of Mr. Johar. These includes the songs (almost all of them are good), exotic sets and costumes and the New York city.
All and all, the soul is missing and you will surely want to say Alvida to KANK before you get out of the theaters.

yeah Shantanu…i completely agree with u….
KANK has really infringed our indian culture and most suitable for invective critics. How can a director like Karan Johar make such a insipid movie with ingrained actors? Indeed it’s a insalubrious movie for bachelors who are going to marry soon, if they have thought this movie as a real life story, may inveigle their life and inveigh respect for each others.
Such inimitable pairs, insensate relation, intrepid sexual views for extra marital peoples, and rebelliousness towards their parents, this one is a insubstancial story. Some scenes are intangible enough to instigate one to ask story writer as an insatiable inquisitor with inordinate inscrutable questions. Insidious enough to insightful audience, everyone must have inneundo to the inimical roles of SRK and Rani.
In the starting both Rani and SRK have ingenuous views for their partners, but unable to interdict iniquitous mind, they come forward as if they are innate partners and became ingrate by deceiving Prity and Abhishek. But even Priti ingratiate Arjun Rampal gives inkling that she was also not great naïve and trusting.
Oh oh…i forgot Big-B….he must be mutinied for doing such a insouciant role…right from the starting he accompnies a call girl..does it suit to the Star of the millenium of India? He did the same impudent in Boom before, to get lots of bad critics on him. Is he doing such roles to change himself from an insolvent to financially inundate condition??
I don’t want to say that climax of this movie should be internecine, but it also should not be in a way shown in a movie to inter past relations and forget what will happen to next generation!!!
